Despite the starts of premature labour at 34 weeks, bub managed to hold... until 37.4 weeks, when baby Emily makes her arrival.

Hoping for some pain relief, Amy instead found herself pushing.

Amy says, ’I have pics of the head out and all four of us in the room laughing! It was a beautiful morning’.

After a short stint in Special Care, Ollie was taken home, happy and healthy again.

At 37 weeks and 4 days, a vigorous labour commenced. Her first baby, Thomas was birthed and 18 minutes later, his brother Oliver joined him.

Alexis says she was afraid of labour and birth, but after practicing some hypnobirthing techniques and hiring a doula, her mindset changed. After a beautiful labour, managed with gas, within 25 minutes of pushing Alexis birthed her baby daughter into the world.

‘I barely felt a thing using the gas and my breathing techniques’.
Alexis says her baby was handed to her and both her and her partner cried.
Alexis said it was an amazing experience that she’s not afraid to do again.
She says ‘I remember feeling so proud and empowered, I was flowing with oxytocin’.

After experiencing a reduction in movements, Riannon was induced; with gel, a breaking of her waters and the use of a sintocinon drip. Riannon chose an epidural as part of her birth plan and remained calm throughout her birth.

Riannon says ‘it was an amazing experience, welcoming my beautiful boy into the world’.

Ollie fought hard, and after 136 days in hospital, he was brought home for the very first time. And look at him today!

What a courageous mumma. What a remarkable newborn.
